AV scanning is used to prevent, detect, and eliminate malicious code that includes computer viruses, worms, Trojans, spyware, and adware.
An AV scan is performed on all content using several different scan engines.
Most anti-virus programs work in the same way:
The anti-virus software checks if the file being transferred contains malicious code by isolating the code and importing it into the sandbox environment. This is an emulation system that can be used to perform an in-depth testing process verifying that the file contains no malicious code, doing so without the possibility of compromising the organization’s computer systems.
Identification is done using file signatures, as each file has a unique structure (much like a fingerprint), thus the software can only detect a file suspected to contain malicious code if its signature has been updated on the AV company’s servers.
As part of its information security solutions, LudanTech provides one or more anti-virus engines included in the list of leading anti-virus engines on the market.
